What to expect when you call the Retiree Health Trust
Participants
When calling the Retiree Health Trust during normal business hours, you will reach our phone system
providing you with several options. Follow the voice commands to reach the information you are searching for.
Calls are taken in the order in which they are received. You may be able to obtain the information you need
by using the automated service line option rather than speaking to a Service Team member. The automated phone
options include:
- Telephone numbers to Medco Health, Human Behavior Institute (HBI), Encompass, and Vision Service Plan
- Benefits / services on the Diamond and Platinum medical plan
- Co–pays for services on the dental plan
You also have the option of leaving a message, in doing so your call will be returned by the
next business day. Remember to include in your message the most convenient time during normal
business hours to return your call. If you choose to send an e-mail, it will be acknowledged within
two business days.
Providers
Providers (doctors, dentists and hospitals) are required to call a separate number,
(702) 866-6160 for service. Providers can obtain information regarding eligibility and benefits 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week by using the automated system. When calling the provider line, the following
options are available:
- Option 1 – Eligibility verification for the current month (automated only)
- Option 2 – Claim processing dates
- Option 3 – Benefit information for the Diamond and Platinum Plans
- Option 4 – Address and fax number information (automated only)
- Option 5 – Prior authorization information
- Option 6 – Speak with a Service Representative
